Structural Steelwork

Structural Steelwork by law must only be supplied by an En1090-2 accredited fabricator.

Many building inspectors and even structural engineers are currently overlooking this, the law has been in place since 2014 and It could be the difference between your house insurance paying out or not. Every good fabricator knows about this but some are choosing to risk your project and ignore the law. En1090-2 UKCA marking was brought into place to protect the client and insure the correct material, layout and connections are   selected by  a qualified structural engineer and that the material can be traced from production all the way through to installation. It confirms the welder/fabricators are insured, qualified and competent to carry out such works, equipment being used is calibrated , consumables and materials are suitable and certificated as per the standards.

Once all work is completed a Declaration of performance sheet is issued and the job can proudly carry the UKCA marking.
